The St. Philomena mystery!
The decree of 1668

It may happen some pictures will not load immediately, so please click "refresh current page" on the top of your browser. Thank you!
There are some documents with big volume, so loading will take a moment. Thank you for your patience!

There are many churches and chapels all around the world, made for the veneration of St. Philomena. She is really a wonderful saint and brought many help to people who asked for.
I think this is wonderful if that happens by a normal way (no St. Philomena Supermarket etc). Faith must be free of any cost, thats why the pictures on my websites may be downloaded as you want. With a good printer you get a pretty nice and cheap holy card. This is my way of thinking.
Did you ever try to enter Philomena or St. Philomena at the Google engine? You will get an answer Has St. Philomena Touched Your Life? - or Welcome To the Official Site of the Sanctuary of Saint Philomena .... This is the website of the sanctuary and you will find for example this text:
This site says "There are many shrines to Saint Philomena worldwide but there is only one Sanctuary which holds her precious Relics. -Santuario Santa Filomena, the Sancuary of S. Philomena." and this is not really true!

Here you see one of our holy relics of St. Philomena. Of course we have also the doctument necessary,

Quote:
The Relics were transferred to the Treasury of the Rare Collections of Christian Antiquity in the Vatican where they remained for 3 years. In 1805, a priest, from Mugnano del Cardinale, Don Francesco De Lucia, traveling to Rome with his newly appointed Bishop, requested and after a brief delay, received the relics of this Martyr “Philomena” to enshrine in his village church in Mugnano del Cardinale, Av, Italy.
Let us count a little bit. 1805 the relics of St. Philomena went to the sanctuary after havint remained for 3 years at the Vatican. So she has been found at 1802, this is also the Year you will find in the books and booklets about St. Philomena.
Here the confirmation:
May 25th is the anniversary of the finding of the Relics of Saint Philomena in the catacombs of St Pricilla in Rome 1802. This is a solemn day of prayer at the Sanctuary. This is a popular time for pilgrimages staying at the Pilgrim House of the Sanctuary.
Now it is time to show youwhat the dictionnary says and what I have learnt like this too.
Why do I criticize this holy place who receipts hundreds or even thousends of people every year with the only intention to venerate St. Philomena?
Is it because they defame all the other places devoted to St. Philomena?

This document belongs to one of our relics of St. Philomena but we will not show her here because the message of this site is not a place for a saint relic. But it also shwos, the exclusivity of Mugnano is a dream!

And here the link for those who must see all
But what you see here after may happen to every person who buys a book called martyrologium printet at the 18th century in an antique books store. So it happened to me and I swear you I was more than astonished to see, there was also a St. Philomena at 1770. So I started searching and bought 3 more books, printed earlyer, and got the same result. Is there a second St Philomena found before 1590? This is very interesting because I never found a mention of a second St. Philomena after 1805.
Can you imagine how surprised I was?
Is the highlight in this whole google-business, these people are not even able to tell us the real date when St. Philomena has been found or what has happened at 1770 with which St. Philomena and earlyer.

please look at the bottom of this site, at the feastday july 5th, and you will find St. Philomena, from the adriatic sea.

You may say "what's the matter" and I tell you what the matter is: the book where we found this site has been printed at 1770, 32 years before St. Philomena has been found after the statement of the sanctuary and most of the litterature.

Here you see the first page of this book that shows roman numbers MDCCLXX equals 1770 under Pope Benedict the 14th.

But I bought other books, the oldest one printed in 1590, all are mentioning our beloved Philomena and now I would like to know what was happening with the St. Philomena(s) during this about 250 years Years. - Well errare humanum est (humans may make errors) and there is no reason to start a fight. We only want to know what is true, because the printers of these books were not dreaming about St. Philomena, she was known earlyer than 1590. This is antoher miracle of St. Philomena and instead of making such a "publicity" at the internet, it would be better to find out the truth about our beloved Saint Philomena my dear friends from Mugnano del Cardinale. Would you be so kind.

Time passed, an email vent to the Vatican, several people - also from the sanctuary - made a visit on this site. But there was now answer and so I will show you also the oldest book from 1590 and risk a longer time to load the website. On this site you find a mention of a St. Philomena:

and below you see the cover of this Martyrologium:

and look when this book has been printed: at MDLXXXVII equals 1587 under the Pope Gegory XIII born 7.1.1502 in Bologna and died a 10.4.1585 at Rome.

There is really a need of an answer, to avoid me to speak from doubts etc because I want to keep my Philomena, but with true data - OK. My dear cleric readers, this is not a joke but a problem that may happen to everybody able to buy an old martyrologium and read the index in this book. I think it is really your deal to explain us what is happening here. So please take care of the facts wo are not really favorable for you. Thank you kindly for your reply right here by email or at this fax to the US # + 1 501 634 2181. (Letters may take about 10-14 days to land on my desk actually.) God bless you!

To all the friends of St. Philomena I can say, I venerate my dearestSt. Philomena as usual, there is no doubt she has existed! Maybe there was a second one found much earlyer - but I dont believe -, is there just a problem with data???. Some administrations did probably not work correctly around 1800 (the time when hundreds of saints came out of the catacombs to be babtised and delivered for good money all over Europe) but there is always time enough to find the truth. So we continue to trust loyaly in our St. Philomena as she is and was all the times and venerate her as I do, as we will do all together and at every shrine on this wonderful World! - When I consider the facts shown here I have no doubts about our St. Philomena, I have seen often enough what a big wonder worker she is, but my doubts pertain to some humans who "handle" holy relics of saints without any idea about what they have in their hands, entrusted by our lord. For me, the respect and care for a saint begins with the recherche about and I guess the Vatican has more Books called Martyrologium than I have to find out there is something wrong and start the interventions necessary to tell us the truth.
